Geocache Description:

This the 7th cache of this series set along the St Helens Canal (the oldest industrial canal in the world). This replaces the old puzzle final cache but is in the same location. Canal towpaths and trails can be muddy so I'd advise wellies, water can be deep so waders may be appropriate too .

I may have over stated this but the St Helens Canal (or Sankey Navigation was "In water" two years before the Bridgewater Canal and built to transport essentially coal. It was hugely responsible for the growth of my home town, St Helens.

As you have progressed through the series you may have found 6 other caches, thanks if you have.

You could have parked at the suggested location for Blackbrook Basin behind the Ship Inn on Blackbrook Road (see the waypoint for parking) or chosen a closer location.

This cache can be accessed over water or land and is NOT EASY. This area WILL get overgrown and can seen from higher ground on both sides so PLEASE be aware of muggles

Sights to see whilst on this stretch; All that is really visible is some parts of the original Canal Edging Stonework and the remnant of a large Dry Dock!

This container is a mid sized click lock tub that can hold swaps, TB's and Coins. It is starting out with a TB that was resident before the type change. Let's see who gets it first.
