Riversurfer: The giant 8' diameter hollow tree this cache was hidden in has disintegrated, so I am archiving this one. The cache was also recently vandalized by human scum. I am sad this huge tree has met it's end. It is still quite impressive, but be careful if you visit as some huge parts of the tree are still precariously suspended above the ground and could come crashing down at any time.

Geocache Description:

There used to be a road through here called The Trail. It is shown on some old maps. There is hardly a trail here now.

You are looking for a decon container hanging on a drywall screw. You may see remains of failed attempt to use a larger container. Will try to get it to work soon.

The terrain is rated a bit high as the trails are overgrown and you may have a long walk, depending on where you start. The bike trail runs within a few hundred feet of the cache and may be one of the best ways to approach the area. I did not see any poison ivy near the cache, but it is common in the area. There IS stinging nettles near the cache. This is a flood plain and the area may flood from time to time.

Cache is stocked with various items to start.
