WELCOME to the Final Cache Slash Fest Event!
SATURDAY OCTOBER 17th 2009
This is the 5th and FINAL Cache Slash Fest event. It is located in Sumner, Illinois and is being hosted by The Cache Slash Crew. We would like to welcome Geocachers from all over to Cache Slash Fest 2009. This years event is Vampire Themed. We will be having assorted activities, giveaways with a grand prize. There will be several permanent caches in the area that will be activated the day of the event and will be loggable. This year we will have chili, vegetable soup and potato soup. Ice tea, coffee, hot chocolate and chips will also be provided. Bring a covered dish, drinks of your choice, and lawn chairs. Bring your kids too because we will have ours and there will be stuff for them to do. The start time of this event is 11 am and we plan to eat around 4 pm with sight seeing and enjoying each others company until late into the night. Come and meet with fellow cachers and check out why the stretch of road between Wolf Pack 359 and The King of Halloween's house is by far the scariest in the county and possibly all of Southern Illinois. Decorations provided by King of Halloween, Wolf Creek Cemetery & Ravenwood Hollow.
Please post if you plan to come and what you plan to bring as a covered dish. It would be appreciated if local attendees could bring a covered dish. We know dessert travel better though. We would like to know if you plan to attend as soon as you know so that we can have a head count to help with planning. Every year we seem to get a little bigger and last year we had over 130 attendees and would like to beat that.
