This will be a one mile walk (one way) from the nearest trailhead. Parking is available off of Straitview Dr next to Highway 101. This section of the Olympic Discovery Trail has been newly paved and follows an old railroad track which has been converted into the ODT. This is a multi-use trail suitable for cyclists, walkers, runners, strollers, etc.
The cache has been hidden where the trail emerges from the woods and you get your first view of the Straits of Juan de Fuca and the Port Angeles harbor. There is a bench here to sit and enjoy the views. On clear days, Mt Baker is visible to the NE .
