Located at the top of Skyline truck trail with a great view of San Diego. This is my first Cache so I made it easy in a place I know well :)
If you have ever been on a phone call while driving up Skyline Truck Trail then you probably know this area well. A little modified "parking lot" at the top of the hill before entering into the reception abyss of upper Jamul. Watch out for snakes and don't fall down the hill trying for a quick grab.
*This Cache does NOT require any hiking just watch out for the steep hill covered in slippery decomposed granite :)
I would recommend coming early in the morning before the sun crests the hill. The valley below is usually filled with morning mist and the surrounding hills look like little islands. On a clear night you have a great view of San Diego and can make out the lights on the Coronado Bridge perfectly. Also a great spot to watch fireworks!
The cache is lightly cammoed and easy to find with a log book, pencil and some fun swag.
