This cache is located on "common" ground - not any resident's property.
It is my understanding that when Bella Vista Village was initially plotted and streets were named, the names let everyone know what the street did.
A "Lane" would be a street that was a dead end, sometimes quite long, but always with a cul-de-sac (or cul-du-sac) to allow a return to the main road.
This location is such a cul-de-sac, but you might notice that there is a second cul-de-sac along the way. Strange, but it does allow you to stop for a marvelous view of Kingswood Golf Course, Sugar Creek, Lake Rayburn, the roofs at Cunningham Corner, and often gliding birds of prey below you.
But be careful - the drop is close to 200'.
