Geocache Description:


At the springs of Saint Eleousas you will find ancient buldings in a serene region full of waters and trees.As you approach you will also find the ruins of the temple of Virgin Mary of Mayromantilas (Saintly Eleoysa), that was built between 5th and 7th century.From the region passes National path 22. Between the two churches, in altitude of 520 metres, there is the Cavern of Polydrosos.
It was discovered in 1988 and those who visited it say that it allocates room with astonishing decor of stalactites and stalagmites, forms of glaciers and waterfalls and a “human procession”. Follow the path 22 which will lead you to the cache.Enjoy the amazing view.The cache is easy to find.it contains a notebook,pen and some goodies! This is our first cache so let us know your opinion.
