Under the cover of a massive oak tree. You should stop and check out the new Bakersfield National Cemetery across the street when you look for this cache. It just opened this month, July 2009 and is coming along nicely. 500 acres of donated land. They believe they will be able to bury veterans for the next 200 years on the huge parcel.
We placed military swag and a new travel bug in the cache to get things started. We hope visitors will be respectful of the veterans buried here.
