This will be a 20 mile (round trip)
biking/caching event. We will park at above coords,
starting at 9:00 am and biking
to the trail's end at 9th St., Lebanon. We will stop on the way
back for lunch.
For trail maps, see related web page.
There are around 50 caches on/near the Conewago and LVRT.
Free of heat but wildly aglow, autumn brushes the Northeast with
glorious color -- a magnificent going-away party for a fabulous
summer -- The cool air and crisp smell of autumn makes everything
seem in sharper focus, the cooler temperatures mean you overheat
less, stay a little drier -- that is if the weather cooperates. The
colors make the ride even more beautiful.
Autumn has the bum rap of being somewhat less an outdoor time;
it's sort of an in-between for seasonal sports. But autumn cycling
is preferable for just that reason: less people on the trails means
a better riding experience.
Faster than hiking, biking provides a great workout for both the
body and the mind.
To me, autumn is the promise made to spring that
winter won't last forever.
