Geocache Description:

Parking for one vehicle at N39 48.714, W076 01.550, or there is plenty of parking on Rt.472 near the bridge. This cache replaces our Octoraro Quickie cache that kept getting muggled.

The Octoraro Lake in southern Lancaster County is fed by the Octoraro Creek. The lake is formed by a dam. The lake has a dedicated boat dock and bait shop. Hiking trails also wrap around parts of the lake which can be reached from multiple different roads. Fishing is very popular in the lake. Gas motorboats are not allowed on the lake as it feeds into the Chester County Water Authority treatment plant. There are many geocaches located around the outskirts of the lake. Hunting is also legal in parts of the surrounding areas.
