There is a hill, Ohtayama and on the hill there is an observation tower named ‘ Kimisarazu (A king do not leave) tower’. Thousands years ago, when Ymamato Takeruno mikoto was travelling through Tokyo bay to defeat East Japan, he encountered a storm and his life was threatened. To save him, his princess, Ototatibana no hime, threw herself into the wild sea. And then he, looking down the sea from the top of Ohtayama, did not leave this place, having pity on her. Since then, this place has been called ‘Kimisarazu, which means a king does not leave in Japanese. Basing on the tale, the tower was constructed.
On the tower, if you look at Tokyo bay instead of Yamato Takeruno mikoto, you may be able to scoop up the brilliant golden heart of Oto Tachibana no hime.
As there is no pen in the cache, please bring a pen with you.

It takes about 20 minutes on foot to Ohtayama park from Kisaradu station, JR.
And there is a free parking lot near the top of Ohtayama.

＜きみさらずタワー、木更津＞
木更津市には太田山という高台があり、そこには‘きみさらずタワー’という名の展望台があります。その昔、日本武尊が東征の折り東京湾にて嵐にあい危険に陥った自分のために荒海に命を投げ出した妃である弟橘姫の末路を哀れみ、太田山の頂から海を見下ろし、この地を去らなかったことにより、この地方を「君去らず」と呼ぶようになったそうですが、それの話をもとに、このタワーを作ったとのことです。
貴方もタワーの上から、日本武尊の気持ちになって東京湾を眺めると、弟橘姫の金色に輝く心をすくい上げることが出来るかも知れません。
なお、キャッシュにはペンが入っていませんので持参をお願いします。
＜アクセス＞
太田山はＪＲ木更津駅より徒歩約２０分のところにあります。車の場合、無料駐車場が太田山頂上付近にあります。
