Event Details:

  • Event is now closed. This was the Cache-Runners first event cache and our best ever day of caching related activities! This was our big chance to give back to the community! It was awesome to meet all the cachers (old and new) and see the smiles on everyones faces as they found our caches. We think the best part about the event was actually getting to talk to people right after they found our hides and share in the fun on the spot! Thank you everyone for the postive feedback!
  • Here is a post-event listing of the caches that were at the event. Caches have been removed and are no longer at listed coordinates. Listing below is for archival/historal purposes only!

The coordinates for this cache take you to a very scenic part of Lakewood Park. There is a free binocular stand where you can look out over Lake Erie and view downtown Cleveland. It is a pretty cool place!

Answer the following questions by emailing cache-runners@cox.net:

1.) Looking North: What is the name of this large body of water?

2.) How was the Northern part of Lakewood Park formed in the early 1900's? Note: the Northern shore of Lakewood Park juts out several hundred feet past the natural shoreline of Lake Erie.

If you need help on question #2, see one of the Cache-Runners team members and they will give you a clue!

I was born in Canada and landed on the Lakewood Lake Erie shore one stormy winter night. My wings were frost bitten and I was very tired. I live here now, on the south shore of Lake Erie. It is not the best life, but it is peaceful and quiet. My name is Egbert. Please stop by and say Hi to me! If you are very nice to me, I will lay a cache-egg for you...I live just off the path, nestled in the tall grass at the bottom of the big hill - *NOT* ON THE LAKE SIDE of the path.
