Geocache Description:

Small sized cache located near Stanney Brook Park in Milnrow. Part of the Stanney Brook Trail caches.
Nice views of the recently built ponds and the hills.

Small sandwich box located outside of Stanney Brook park. It will hold coins, travel bugs, small models. Quite easy to find, make sure to cover it well when putting it back..

Now that the grass has regrown and the pond has water in it, this new nature reserve next to the park has turned out to be quite pretty. The occasional herron can be seen in the new ponds, as well as the odd swan now and again.

~~~~~~~~~~
This series of 7 caches, the Stanney Brook Trail, follows a newly developed route around the old paths which my family used to take walks down regularly a few years back. It starts at Stanney Brook park, and takes you over across Sir Isaac Newton Way, and back to Stanney brook park. The circular walk is about 2 miles long and can be done by cyclists, walkers, or horseriders.
If coming by car, it is best to drive to the bottom of Buckley Hill Lane and park outside of the park.
Please note that the topography is different than what the satellite view on google maps shows.
