kb10bo: I went by to check on this one today after the recent DNF. Unfortunately the cache is gone and I think I'll go ahead and archive it, rather than replace it. Maybe I can hide another one in Moreland real soon. Thanks to all the cachers that hunted for this one. Happy caching!!!!!

Just for those days when you don't want to get muddy, but still want to go caching.......this one is for you!
This cache is located just off Main Street in downtown Moreland, GA.
Moreland is probably most noted for its July 4th BBQ and some of the famous people that have been a part of its past.
The author Erskine Caldwell was born in Moreland in 1903. The works for which he is most famous are his novels Tobacco Road (1932) and God's Little Acre (1933).
Author and humorist Lewis Grizzard grew up here. He is known for his Southern demeanor and commentary on the American South. Although he spent his early career as a newspaper sports writer and editor, becoming the sports editor of the Atlanta Journal at the age of 23, he is much better known for his humorous newspaper columns in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He was also a popular stand-up comedian & lecturer.
There is a museum for each of these men that you can visit when you're in town...........if you're lucky enough to be there at a time when they're open.
As of 6/25/11 the cache is an ammo can with plenty of room for trade items and trackables. The first cache was muggled, so I've changed the container AND the location.
