The Island Traditional Cache
TwistedNonsense: Unfortunately I haven't been able to get back out to the island to replace this cache. It's sad because it's really a great place for one. With the summer boating season drawing to a close, it's unlikely that I will make it back there anytime in the near future. Sorry everyone. Maybe another geocacher (who's also a boater) can place one here.

Small tupperware container hidden on the little island in the middle of the river by National Park and Red Bank Battlefield.
This cache can only be accessed if you have a boat, canoe, or jet ski. There's a small island in the middle of the Delaware river just outside of National Park. It's a very popular spot in the summer for families to spend the afternoons. A large sandbar becomes visible during low tide, large enough for everyone to have plenty of room for enjoying the sun and sand.
Although this cache would technically be available all year round, it's much more likely that it will be most easily accessed in the summer months. The water is very cold in the winter, and you'll draw much more attention to yourself if you anchor at the island in the off-season...
If you're not familiar with the area be very careful to avoid the sandbar as there's the potential for some serious damage to your boat if you run over it at low tide.
You're looking for a small round tupperware container camouflaged with black tape. It's hidden in the thick of the trees on the island. Be sure to bring your own pen!
Be careful of the debris that ends up on the banks of the island, and also for the trash and beer bottles left behind by disrespectful partiers. This is a great place for CITO.
The hardest part is actually getting to the island, which is the reason for the difficulty rating overall. The terrain is relatively easy except for the rocks and somewhat steep climb on certain parts of the island. Be sure to replace the cache in a secure manner so it doesn't end up floating away in the river!
