Geocache Description:

This cache can only be found by water and will involve an 8 mile round trip from Umbagog Lake Campground. There may be other locations to enter the lake. The cache is no more than 100 feet from the water and does not require serious bushwacking. The difficulty is rated 4 because of the long watercrossing.

This is our second cache and we filled the cache with fun items that we will use when we camp at Umbagog Lake campground at the remote sites (fishing lures, toys, bug spray, suntan lotion etc). We love this campground and the fishing is great. Weather can change very quickly in this area so please make sure you plan your trip accordingly. You can rent canoes and kayaks from many different places by the lake. If you have a motor boat please make sure to check out lake informaton. It is a relatively shallow lake with lots of rocks.
