When I started caching in June of 2008 I wondered if I would
ever run into any other cachers on my journey. Since then I have
met many wonderful people on the trails and at events. Geocachers
are some of the friendliest people I have ever met and I am proud
to wear the tag of 'geocacher'...
I have recently observed my 1yr anniv and decided to place a series
of caches dedicated to some of the wonderful people I have met
along the way.
I hope to provide some smiles to all of those who have made me
smile and also some challenges to those who have challenged me with
their hides!
*(Please be patient
and don't get mad at me if you think you should have a cache in
this series, you've probably got one coming!)
This cache is dedicated to Harthunter.
One of the first friends I
ever made while geocaching. Tammy is an incredible person and loves
this sport! She proved to me how dedicated she is when she got the
FTF on my "Headless Chicken" cache... no easy task!
Since that first day we met we've kept in touch, attended many
events together and had a lot of fun talking shop...
Tammy has gotten pretty sneaky lately with some of her hides, so I
thought I should do something a little special for her...
:)
Located at the above coords you will find Guardian 1 of the
cache...
This guardian holds 1 of 3 keys needed to find the final
cache.
In order to find the remaining 2 Guardians, you will have to
project waypoints from Guardian 1.
(for more info on "waypoint projection" try Google)
Guardian 2: From Guardian 1 project a waypoint. Bearing: 188
Distance: 140 feet.
Guardian 3: From Guardian 1 project a waypoint. Bearing: 183
Distance: 358 feet.
Once you have all 3 keys you may journey to the final location and
claim your prize! (the final location is on an Island in Lake
Hartwell so make sure you have the proper transportation)
Keep your eyes open for the next one to come in this
series!
Happy Headhunting!
