Geocache Description:

Another puzzle in Barrington. The listed coordinates mean nothing.

Every year all MLB teams play with one goal in mind: to win the World Series. Each World Series is filled with good and bad memories for the two teams involved (almost all good for the winner and almost all bad for the loser.) However, there is one player on the losing team that must have the worst memories of all; the player that made the final out of the series and gave the opposing team the championship. This player is forever recorded in history and has the dubious honor of being the last out of the World Series. Every year, someone must have this honor of being the final out (unless the series ends with a walk-off hit.)

To find the cache, solve the below puzzle that is all about these individuals:

41 4G.HIJ 71 1K.LMN

All Red Sox fans should remember this one. Keith Foulke got Edgar Renteria to hit a chopper back to the mound to end the 200G World Series and give the Sox their first championship in 86 years.

Brooks Robinson fielded a ground ball hit by Pat Corrales and then threw him out at first to win the 197H World Series.

Brett Butler grounded out to second base to end the 198I World Series.

The 19J0 World Series ended when Allie Reynolds struck out Stan Lopata.

How many Hall of Fame players have been the final out of a World Series? Subtract three from this number for K.

Honus Wagner struck out to end the very first World Series, which was played in the year 190L.

The New York Yankees won their third World Series in four years when left field Chad Curtis caught a fly ball hit by Atlanta hitter Keith Lockhart to end the 19M9 World Series.

Max Bishop flew out to center field to end the 193N World Series.

Cache is now a micro similar to a film can. It used to be a lock-and-lock box that most likely washed away with the last storm. Hopefully this smaller container lasts longer. Please do not remove the container from its "attachment." Just open the top, pull the log out, and snap it shut. You can see remnants of my "failed" attachment attempt nearby.
