The cache is only big enough to hold the log and a few small items. Bring your own pen.
Sit down on any of many benches circling this park and enjoy the great view of the river by Shore Road and the bike path alongside of it.
Afterward, follow Shore Road on either direction and you will get to enjoy a few examples of the mini-mansions that dot this area of Bay Ridge Brooklyn. Many of the old mansions disappeared to be replaced by high-rise apartment buildings. However, around 80th-82nd Streets, some of the flavor of the past is preserved, with opulent private homes, both new and old.
