This cache is located in the Columbia Point Trail area. Parking is located at either Columbia Point near the park, or south of Richland by the rock place. It is a short hike into the area where the cache is located. As with all natural areas, be alert for wildlife, mosquitos, etc. while you are searching. This area is also very popular for fishing. Highway muggles can probably see you, but you are far enough away so they won't be paying attention to what you are up to.
This cache is placed to share some items with our fellow cachers that we collected on our trip to Mt. Rushmore in summer of '09. It is our largest cache placement so far. We have put in a dog toy some round throw toys and a new log at this new location.
Enjoy the area, enjoy your hike, if you look up you may spot one of the many enormous dragon flies frequenting this trail (among other critters).
