GLADE WATERFALL CACHE Traditional Cache

COORDINATES*** You will need to take the cable ferry that takes you
to the community of Glade. The ferry operates seven days a week
from 5am - 2am and is free. You will be able to drive close to
cache site. There is a short hike to a beautiful waterfall where
the cache is hidden.
After crossing on the ferry to the community of Glade take the
first road to the right (Glade Road). Stay on Glade Road until it
becomes a gravel road. Cross a small bridge and continue straight
until you reach a Y in the road and take the left path. Continue up
the road until you reach a switchback but don’t continue
further. There is a small place to park just off the road.
Co-ordinates for parking: N 49 22.648’ W 117 32.654’.
You will need to take a short walk up a path beside a creek towards
a waterfall. This cache is located very near this beautiful
waterfall. It is visited mostly by the locals of Glade and is a
VERY special location to them. Please be respectful of the site.
The cache is close to the waterfall and by a large overhanging rock
formation. The cache is on the same side of the stream as the path.
No need to cross the stream. You will have to be careful because
rocks can be slippery and it is a bit steep and rocky near the
cache. This is the reason for the terrain rating of '3'. Use
caution. It is even more imperative to be cautious if you go in the
spring during runoff. I've been here many times with my children
when they youngest was only one, so it is quite do-able for
families. It was difficult to get great co-ordinates for the cache
site because of the trees and rocks. I took numerous readings so
hopefully I got the best average of those readings. You will be
looking for a camouflaged container and it might be slightly
tricky. Please return cache to exact location. Have fun and enjoy
the waterfall! There are two more waterfalls above this one but its
a bit steep and difficult to get to.
