How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

A simple 2 stage multi celebrating the onset of Spring. The cache is a 200ml sistema with the final being a 10 minute walk from the initial coordinates. coordinates. (Accuracy of GZ coordinates +/- 2m).



The start of the multi takes you to a plaque beside a public walkway. The plaque describes tree planting done by children from Porirua and her sister city Nishio.

The trees planted here are Sakura cherry trees, which look great in the springtime. The entire area is also planted with daffodils. If you time it right you have a picturesque scene, cherry blossoms amongst a carpet of yellow daffodils.

To find the final, read the plaque to determine the coordinates.The plaque contains the names of all of the children who helped with the planting. Find the number associated with the names below- (use the least significant digit where required). Some of the names appear more than once on the plaque, use the number associated with the first instance of the name (i.e. the lowest number).
