Geocache Description:

The cache is a small plastic container located in Redwood Regional Park. It is located just off of French Trail north of the Mill Trail intersection.

In my opinion French Trail is the most beautiful trail in the Regional Park system. The redwood groves are gorgeous, and the way the trail meanders through the groves is absolutely stunning. The trail is just challenging enough to get the “pumper pumping”.

There are a several staging areas that you can park at. However, my favorite is Moon Gate. Then go east to the start of French Trail. You can then stay on French Trail and loop back to West Ridge Trail via Fern Trail. This makes for a stimulating 6.5 mile hike. There are numerous caches along these trails, so you can spend the day hiking and caching in one of the most beautiful places in the Bay Area.
