Geocache Description:

Elementary in aspley park.

Bismuth is pretty awesome!!!

Bismuth is a chemical element that has the symbol Bi and atomic number 83.

No other metal is verified to be more naturally diamagnetic than bismuth.

It has the second lowest thermal conductivity (after mercury) and the highest Hall coefficient.

Bismuth one of the few substances that is denser in its liquid form than its solid (like water), it's melting point is also very low (~270 degrees C). What's even more exciting is that it makes very pretty hopper crystals if you melt and cool it the right way.

Included in this cache is a jar containing five very pure small bismuth samples*

I made these on my stove after buying a bag of turnings for my element collection (which had to be put on hold until I finish university due to financial reasons) .

I only have a limited about of these so please don't take them!
(Apart from the FTF who is welcome to take one of the colourful crystals.)

Feel free to open up the jar and have a look!

There's also room in the cache for some small swaps.

FTF Prize: A colourful crystal of pure bismuth.

*Bismuth is non-toxic, and is used as a substitute for lead because of this.

-This is my first hidden cache so please let me know if you have any concerns or suggestions for improvement.-
