The ammo can used for this mystery cache was a prize that I won at the May 2, 2009 Flash Mob in Wichita, KS. It is placed in Missouri as a challenge to folks who attended the Wichita event to come and get it (and for anyone else to enjoy). It is located just a few miles across the Missouri state line not far from Missouri Highway 96 which continues Kansas 400. So its a straight shot from Wichita - almost.
The coordinates listed for this cache are for the coordinates where you should park. The cache is not at these coordinates but this is the place to park. The mystery is to locate the coordinates. To do that, you will have to visit the May 2, 2009 Air Capital Flash Mob cache page here on geocaching.com. My geocaching partner in crime is Spiritguide. The event made his 1000th find and we had a great time meeting some Kansas Geocachers and power caching Wichita. We even got photographed "flying in". When I won this ammo can, I vowed to place it somewhere between Springfield and Wichta. So here it is, somewhere along the Ruby Jack Trail, where you can either hike, jog or bike.
For those who seek FTF's - there are TWO prizes. One will simply be for the first person who finds the cache and congrats to Rainwolf420 for nabbing the local FTF. The other one will be for the first Kansan WHO ATTENDED THE MAY 2 WICHITA FM who makes it to Missouri for the grab. The FTF prize includes a green portrait of a dead president who is probably not smiling plus some other valuable prize. There is also assorted trade items such as bubbles, playing cards, flashlight and who knows what else.
