The Vatnblikk cache is placed at the small lake Litjvatnet in the Innfjorden mountains.
The lake Litjvatnet is a popular hiking destination for the people living in Innfjorden and the many residents of the mountain cabins in the area. Litjvatnet is about 45 minutes walking from the parking area (see waypoint). Access to the mountain is by private road with a toll of NOK 80. Please pay with your credit card at the toll booth.
At Litjvatnet you can have a picnic in the picnic area while seeing the fish jump in the lake and listening to the bells of the sheep and cows in the mountain. You can also borrow one of the boats for a fishing trip (you have to bring your own fishing gear). Remember to borrow a life jacket too.
The cache is a plastic lock´n´lock container containing a log book and some trading items. First to Find gets to take the Signal Pin! I am also launching my FTF geocoin from this cache. The finder is encouraged to place their own cache for placing the coin.
As I am temporarily living outside of Norway my family will do the regular maintenance of this cache. Please notify me of any issues that need resolving so that we can keep the cache in a good condition.
