Before you can start this challenge you
probably should check out where it all began.
"The Merit Badge Challenge"
One of our son's favorite Merit badges he earned was the hiking
Merit Badge. The last big hike we did together and was about 100
miles long in New Mexico over a time of 10 days along the bottom of
the Rockies. We had a blast.
Now about the actual
cache.
- Waypoint ONE: This is about a
three quarter mile hike on relitively flat ground. With a bit of
bushwacking to the "WP". Here you will find a small container with
the coords for the FINAL. You just have to figure out where 'THIS"
is.
- FINAL:There are many different
ways from WP1 to the FINAL so choose wisely. Here you will find an
ammo can.
- Total hiking (if you are good) would be about 2.5 miles. It's a
nice hike (or bike) any time of year.
Now for the challenge if you
except it.
All you need to do is to find ALL of the published Merit Badges
which are
(Well I will make one exception, and that is the one in
Florida.)
REQUIREMENTS / RULES / ADVISE
- All Merit Badges MUST be found prior to you searching for this
cache.
- If a new merit badge cache is published prior to you finding
all of the merit badges as well as this cache and logging them all,
then you just gotta get back out there.
- Create a BookMark listing of all of the FOUND Merit Badges with
the date you found it would be a great way to confirm the finds
instead of listing them all in your logs.
- I would hurry up and complete this challenge because there is a
potential that a grand total of 121 merit badge caches could
eventually come into play in the Geo-Scouts series.
- All of the Geo-Scouts related caches are bookmarked
HERE. You just need to find all of the "Merit Badges".
- Oh ya, you actually have to figure out where the actual cache
is. Because the cache is NOT at the posted coords.
- Please do not leave any spoiler information in your logs how to
figure out the coords or the cache placement. That would just be
taking the adventure away from others.
DISCLAIMER
If for some reason a
Merit Badge cache is archived it does not need to be found.
If for some reason a required cache is "Temporarily Disabled" and
the owner is not taking care of the issue in a timely manner please
let me know and I will do what I can to get the cache up and
running.
