The terrain, while concrete, is the slope of a boat ramp. You should be able to pull right up to the cache. The water is a good distance away.
The cache is located at Buck Creek Boat Dock where Hwy 769/Rush Branch Road ends. This used to be the location of a fully functioning boat dock. In 2007 the water level on Lake Cumberland was lowered due to seepage problems at Wolf Creek Dam. The Buck Creek Boat Dock was relocated further down stream on the Cumberland River at nearby Omega Park. This location is very near where Buck Creek joins the Cumberland River. The origin of Buck Creek begins near Halls Gap in Lincoln County, travels through Rockcastle and Pulaski Counties.
