The "To Wheat, To Eat!" event is
Sunday, September 27, beginning at
noon and going until whenever....
The coordinates will bring you to Pioneer
Park in Waterville and to our Bakery, The Blue Rooster.
The event starts at noon on Sunday, at
which time we will close our bakery to the public. However, feel
free to come earlier as we open up the bakery around 6:30 am.
This is the second annual Waterville Geocaching event. The first
was
GC1EFT5 and by all who attended, was highly successful.
We will provide our famous "gourmet press"
coffee (hot & cold), paper plates, plasticware, napkins, and
cups (contributions also welcomed) and whatever bakery items we
have left from the morning.
Please bring a main dish, salad or dessert
of your choosing. It's a good idea to coordinate what you will
bring by posting a comment on this web page.
We are very excited to have geocachers
from the area and from afar attend. Also welcome are new and
wannabe geocachers.
There will be time to visit and meet old
and new friends, trade TBs and geocoins, share stories and photos.
We have Wi-Fi available in the bakery for logging. For those who
are wondering, dogs are allowed in the park as long as the owner
brings and uses a leash and a pooper scooper.

GeoWoodstock Is Coming!
GeoWoodstock
VIII is coming to Remlinger Farms in Carnation on July 3, 2010.
Next year is the 10th anniversary of geocaching and the Pacific
Northwest is Geocaching Central, so this will likely be the largest
gathering of cachers ever! COWWS is hosting the main event, and
coreyandjoey will be here at To Wheat, To Eat to
tell us about it, answer questions, take suggestions, sign up
volunteers, and gratefully accept any donations. WSGA will be
supporting this effort in various ways - GeoWoodstock is really a
constellation of events and activities that lasts several days -
and we'll need everyone's help as we partner with our mooey pals to
make this the best geocaching mega-event ever! |
This Chapter Meeting is posted by the
WSGA. If you are a Geocacher in the state of Washington,
please join the Washington State Geocaching Association. This
is a great way to get the most out of Geocaching in our
region. Simply go to the WSGA Web Page for details!
All WSGA Chapters
follow the Bylaws of the WSGA and are open to all interested
parties. |
