Hidden Gem (Whitby) Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

status quo: As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not responded or performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to un-archive it.

Geocache Description:

A small park hidden within the suburb of Whitby. (Accuracy of GZ coords +/- 3m).

This cache is titled Hidden Gem for two reasons.

Firstly, because the location is a hidden gem itself. The coordinates take you to a small park that you are unlikely to stumble upon if you are not a local (or a geocacher ). It is found along one of the many walkways through Whitby.

Secondly, the theme of the cache is all about hidden gems. All of the items it initially contained have been provided by my kids for their sparkle/treasure value. If you are doing any swaps, can you please restrict them to similar items. I would imagine geocoins would fit right in here.

The park can be quite busy during weekends (and directly after school finishes) on those fine sunny days, so please be aware of this when timing your visit.

The location of the cache is S41 06.ABC, E174 53.DEF where:
A = How many bolts are anchoring the chain ladder (top and bottom)?
B = How many blue ladder rungs are there on the ladder by the orange slide?
C = How many yellow bolts are holding up the middle of the orange slide?
D = How many planks make up the seats of the green picnic table (both sides)?
E = How many of the yellow hand rings (for swinging) are there?
F = How many slides are there?

The cache is a 200ml sistema container which initially contained:
logbook, pencil,
glass moonstones,
marbles,
crystal rocks from Great Barrier Island,
a sparkly pipecleaner.

The cache is hidden near the playground and is in a relatively secluded location, but please use stealth as we don't want the cache to go missing.
