Geocache Description:

This cache is placed at the high water mark, just outside the main marsh grass on Pleasure Island. The cache contain a log only and you must bring your own pen. There is no room for a pen or tradable items. This island is part of the State Park and the Department of Natural Resources requests that everyone observe "cache in - trash out."

This cache is on the southern of three island, Pleasure Island, with Hart-Miller Islands, now one land mass, to the North. The island is only assessable by boat and has a nice lagoon NW of the cache at N 39 14.124, W 076 23.423 and a sandy beach at the southern tip. If you come by larger boat, or any sailboat, access the lagoon area by rounding Hart-Miller Island to the North and follow the channel South. Consult a chart, watch the water depths and be careful in canoes or kayaks as the tide is strong between the island and the mainland. The channel between the mainland and the island is shoaling, stay in the channel and do not go through it if you draw more than a few feet of water. However, once there, you will find a nice spot on the Chesapeake Bay.

The cache is at the high water mark and hopefully designed to survive most storms. There is a log but no pen and no room for tradable items. Watch out for flies during the summer months and wear water shoes. The difficulty is a 2.5 because of the size of the cache (but it really should not be that hard to locate). The terrain is a 5 only because you need some type of boat to get to the island and once there, you have to walk on wet/uneven surfaces. Please place additional comments electronically here and upload a picture with your comment. FTF RIGHTS GO TO "THE DAM TROLLS." CONGRATS!
