Geocache Description:

This is a puzzle cache. Please do not go to the posted coordinates.

The Steagles just returned from their 2009 vacation! This year we traveled west to the beautiful state of Oregon to visit with our family, DW Tigger and Sled Dog… along with their 3 Siberian Huskies. We were very busy, seeing lots and lots of gorgeous nature scenes! Just to give you an idea of all that we did while we were out west, here are some of the highlights.

Day 1: We visited Mt. Hood. Then we headed west for a major event in our caching lives, finding the Original Cache.
Day 2: A trip west to the Oregon Coast to see the Astoria Column and Haystack Rock (among other things) and even got to log caches in Washington.
Day 3: Waterfall Day! We drove through a major gorge to see many, many waterfalls. The best waterfall of the day was Multnomah Falls. On our drive back west to the city, we stopped at the Vista House for an incredible overlook of the gorge.
Day 4: We traveled slightly west from their house into the city of Portland. We shopped in a huge book store (perfect for any teacher) and ate at the strangest donut shop you’ll ever see, Voodoo Donuts.
Day 5: More waterfalls! We drove into the gorge again, then hiked to Punchbowl Falls. Before heading back west to the city, we stopped to see a bridge and island used on our favorite reality show, Amazing Race.
Day 6: We rented a car and drove down the coast to California. The West Coast is much rockier than what we’re used to growing up closer to the Atlantic Ocean. Along the drive we saw a number of lighthouses, including the Coquille Lighthouse.
Day 7: We spent the day touring Redwood National and State Parks. We had no idea that the redwoods were so far west, actually on the coast. They were amazingly huge!
Day 8: We toured a bit more of the redwoods and went to another lighthouse, Battery Point Lighthouse in Crescent City, CA. Then it was a long drive back to Portland.
Day 9: Another day in Portland, this time touring the zoo and a rose garden. We also did a night cache, which was fun till we got scared out of our wits by the local drunks.
Day 10: Resting up during our last day on the West Coast getting ready for a red-eye flight back to Kentucky.

This puzzle is the geocaching equivalent of forcing our friends to sit down and look at our vacation slide show. We’ll spare you and only show you the ten pics below. When you are done enjoying the pics, try to solve the puzzle and find the cache.

You are looking for a medium sized Rubbermaid container that doesn't seal too terribly well. Please be sure that the lid is placed on securely and that all contents are fastened in a plastic bag. Thanks!

Congratulations to Liyah and lostsoleky for being the co-first to find! Nice job! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Based on the first couple of weeks of this cache's existence, I've decided to bump the difficulty level up to a 4.5. This is definitely harder than I originally intended. I wanted to make it a bit harder than my normal puzzles to give you an idea of what I was up against in Oregon, but when Col Mustard struggled... I realized that this is definitely one you need to get into my head for. Please email me if you have questions. I'm here to help. You can do it!
