Gemologists and amateur miners who also geocache will like this location
Located on a dirt road with a parking loop at the end just off Trail Creek Road. You may want to park on the edge of Trail Creek Road (Park County 94 also Teller County 32) and walk up to the "turn around" if your vehicle has little clearance. It would be a short easy walk. At Grandpa & Grandma camp our 4 grandkids did a day of "gemology" in the area which included visiting several digs up the side of the hill. Some seem to be active claims, so you can look but not take. Others are rich in smokey quartz crystals and other ores. One can just look at or pick over the tailings. By law, you are not allowed to dig or remove anything without the permission of the claim owner. So this cache is placed in honor or their explorations. Waypoint averaged with a Garmin Montana 650t. If other vehicles or diggers are around, be careful so the cache is not muggled. Co-oridinates updated Jul 13, 2014. Cache is in good shape.
