"Raiden Kurumi no Sato (Hometown of walnut and Raiden)" is a roadside station along "Asama San line" road.
Summer is made the showplace of a lot of alpine plants, and it is located at the entrance to "Yunomaru plateau" known in the powder snow ski area of the best in winter.
The foot in Mt. Asama is done about the best walnut in the whole country at the point of production.
"Raiden Kurumi no Sato" is a very popular roadside station.
Farm products and finished goods of local to say nothing of the walnut and the walnut cake are sold directly.
The walnut of the life of the catching setting up sells and a dry walnut sells other time if it is October when the walnut can be gathered.
There is "Walnut soft ice cream" in the restaurant of establishing as an annex, too.
Moreover, there is a small material pavilion of Raiden, and it puts it free of charge.
How was Raiden taken an active part in the world of the sumo wrestling, and the life can be seen.
I recommend this material pavilion to be visited.
A big bronze statue of Raiden is decorated outside the material pavilion.

「雷電くるみの里」は、広域農道「浅間サンライン」沿いにある道の駅です。
夏は高山植物の宝庫として、冬は極上のパウダースノースキー場で知られる「湯の丸高原」への入口に位置しています。
このあたり、浅間山麓は、全国一の胡桃の産地です。「雷電くるみの里」は、とても人気のある道の駅です。クルミやクルミ菓子はもちろん、いろいろな地元の農産物や加工品を直売しています。クルミの採れる10月なら採り立ての生のクルミが、それ以外の時期は干したクルミが売っています。併設のレストランには「くるみソフト」もあります。
また雷電の小さな資料館があり、無料で入れます。
雷電が相撲の世界でいかに活躍したか、その一生を見ることができます。
私は、この資料館に訪れてみることをお勧めします。
資料館の外には雷電の大きな銅像が飾られています。
キャッシュは、この道の駅にあります。
