škersojot upi pa ledu. Sarkandaugavas tilts uz Kundzinsalu
tika uzcelts 1959.gada. Ta ka Kundzinsalas apbuve sakas jau 20.gs
sakuma, tad visi nepieciešamie buvmateriali namu
buvniecibai, ka ari melnzeme uz salu tika nogadata ar laivam.Tilts
balstits uz 4. balstiem. Tilta celtniecibai speciali tika mekleta
šauraka vieta Daugava, kas ir aptuveni 15 metri.
[EN] Kundzinsala was incorporated in Riga city already in 1917.
Still, up to 1959 the only possibility to cross the river was using
a boat, or, in winter – going across it on foot. The
Sarkandaugava Bridge over Kundzinsala was built in 1959. As the
building operations of Kundzinsala started in the 20th century, all
the necessary materials for house-building, as well as top soil
were delivered to the island by boats. The bridge stands on 4
piers. For the construction of the bridge the builders searched for
the narrowest place in the river, which is 15 metres.
