Cache is located off of Highway 306, Cottonwood Pass, west of Buena Vista, CO. About 1/2 mile hike at 11,000 ft to a beautiful lake.
This cache is our first. The cache is a blue plastic container measuring approx. 4x5x8. Among some of the items are bandaids and antiseptic wipes in case of small scrapes encountered on the hike. Feel free to use them. Take your camera as the views are beautiful and if you fish a fishing rod is a must as the lake near the cache has fish. Access is from the top of Cottonwood Pass or park at N 38-48.7606, W106-24.1489 on the east side of the pass. From either location one must hike uphill, from the top on the pass you hike uphill on the way back and from the parking location you hike uphill to get to the cache. Pick your poison and enjoy, it's a gorgeous area.
