Welcome to the Salmon Falls River Walk a nice walk along the river. Some spots are easy and some are moderate in terrain, nothing to bad but dont plan on wearing flip flops for these :-)
A quick note here... the first cache in the series was not allowed due to the RR tracks. All the info needed about the trail was contained within that cache page. As of 9-7-09 I've givin up on the first SWEAT SHOP cache...& I went to pick it up today. Why guard rail caches on open roads are ok but that one is not I'll never know but anyways this will be the first in the series.
Park just after the bridge on right...follow trail through the old foundations (The site of the first cache hopefully) and look for the orange!!! IMPORTANT when you come to the tracks you need to go straight across them...No need to follow the track over the bridge. But your goto route may look like it suggests that. The trail continues from there.
Sorry, but the first part of this trail before the foundations is new and not so great. Its a little wet but you only have about 40 feet of this and then It does get better. I know you will enjoy the trail after this first section.
I liked this quiet spot on the river...reminded me of a John Prine song. the song is actually about a Lake... lake Marie but you get the idea...
