These falls I am sure are what gave the river it's namesake!
When I started this trail cleanup it was about two weeks ago and the recent rains had raised the river level by three feet!
What you see today is only a fraction of the water flow over these falls! It was thunderous when we were here then. Spray and mist was heavy in the air.
The rock slab to the left had a secondary fall shooting off of it. I would have liked to have been under it, but would not dare be in that raging torrent!
The cache is a little ways away from the falls due to placement guidelines
