Located on the ridge beside the Martin Creek campground.
The campground is located 16 miles up the East Fork of the Bitterroot road with the first 15 miles paved and plowed during the winter. it is doable in the winter but you might have trouble climbing the ridge. It took me 10 minutes to hike were I wanted to place the cache. It is on the game trail on the ridge between Martin creek and Moose creek. I have seen deer, moose, elk and mountain lions in this area so be alert. There are lots of small trout in either one of the two streams so bring our fish pole but remember to check the fishing regs as you aren't allowed to keep cutthroats or bull trout. The container is a medium sized instant coffee jar.
