desert vols: We went to perform maintenance today, and found that someone had posted "No Trespassing" signs in the general area. Rather than expose cachers to that, we decided to retrieve the cache and use it again in another location. FYI, the cache was in great shape, located approximately 8" from it's initial spot. It was still visible, true to the cache description!!

Geocache Description:

Park within feet of the cache. Cache is an Altoids tin (Oh no, not another Altoids tin!) with room for very small items. Bring your own pen. Coords are +/- 8 feet.

In the tradition of Peasinapod's Ghost Town series, here's another one.

This area had great promise before the Great Economic Recession of '09. Now, the never-opened businesses stand empty, the landscaping is left to it's own, and people shake their heads as they drive by. Eventually, things will swing around, but for now...

Drive in. Park. Look for the cache. There shouldn't be too many people around, even though the cache is only a few hundred feet from the Arches.
