Murray-Sunset National Park
Victoria's own "outback". Murray-Sunset, stretches from the Murray River at Lindsay Island in the north, and south to Pink Lakes near Underbool. It's great for 4WD and some 2WD touring, bushwalking and camping.
The park has a fascinating history, abundant wildlife and beautiful spring wildflowers.
This series of geocaches follows the Old Mail Route Road between Paringa (in South Australia) and Lake Cullulleraine (in Victoria). The Old Mail Route Road is north of the main Sturt Highway.
If you are looking for an alternate route to Mildura off of the Sturt Highway with plenty to see, and now a series of geocaches to make it all worthwhile, this series will take you to some wonderful scenic locations as well as some where it is hard to imagine just how isolated the area is.
You should allow yourself at least 4-5 hours to complete the Murray-Sunset National Park (North) series of geocaches.
Please beware that ALL tracks are dry weather only.
The Caravan

This cache is a small container painted black. This is a beautiful spot to stop and enjoy a picnic lunch. There are tables at the cache location. Bring along your fishing rod and catch a fish or two if you're lucky. Make sure that you have the appropriate fishing licence.
Don't ask me why this spot is known as "The Caravan" as I don't know!

Start / End
This series can be completed by starting at either end. To ensure that cachers are aware of the series, the description for each page is the same as this is a series of geocaches which can be found in the one trip.
Please be sure to replace each geocache as you found it. All eclipse tin containers are magnetic to ensure that they can only be removed with intent. If you do not find these caches, they will most certainly have been muggled.
We hope you enjoy completing this series of geocaches as much as we have enjoyed placing them.
