C’est vers le printemps 1757 qu’Alexis Landry arriva sur les lieux de Sainte-Anne du Bocage. C’est en 1791 que M. Landry donna une partie de ses terres afin de faire construire une petite chapelle. Les travaux furent terminés en 1794. Le parc tel qu’on le connaît aujourd’hui comprend un boisé, un cimetière, une église, un chemin de croix, un puits et une fontaine. Depuis 1880 plusieurs centaines d’acadien se rassemble le 26 juillet afin de célébrer la fête de Ste-Anne.
It’s at the spring of 1757 that Alexis Landry established his family on the land that will later be know as Sainte-Anne du Bocage. In 1791, Mr Landry gave a part of his land to build a chapel. The construction of the chapel was done in 1794. In this park today you can find woods, a chapel, a cemetery, a well and a fountain. From 1880 till our days, Acadians from all over come to celebrate the birthday of Ste-Anne on July 26th.
