Geocache Description:

A cache on a footpath in a Devon village.

The village of Diptford is a pretty village on a hill overlooking the River Avon in the South Hams area of Devon. The name is thought to derive from 'deep ford'. The cache is on alongside Parish footpath 1 going from the village of Diptford down to a river valley. A visit further down the hill to the bridge over the River Avon is well worthwhile.
