Geocache Description:

This cache is at the best location on the ridge to get photos of the summit of Mt. Alice; it's the closest spot to the peak on this route.
Use the route description for the Godwin Glacier Overlook Cache. This is a great turn-around spot for folks who don't like the looks of the climb up to the Overlook.

The container is a plastic tube with a screw top, so it's rather small. It's big enough though to contain an AK micro coin as a prize for the FTF, along with a log and several other small trade items.
The real prize is the view of this great peak, and the ridges and valleys which surround it. There is a good chance you will see mountain goats, marmots, ptarmigan, and possibly black bears when the berries are on the ridges. Resurrection Bay and Seward can be seen, and all the mountains on the west side of the bay.
Stop by here, and if conditions and attitudes are good, go on up to the Alice ridge for the view of the Godwin Glacier behind.
Be real careful ,of course; this hide is on the edge of the viewpoint.
