The finale event for the Beat the Heat Contest!
It's been fun finding all the Beat the Heat contest entries from the air-conditioned comfort of our cars. Now, come enjoy the air conditioning at the Hampton Branch (Oak Hill) of the Austin Public Library on
Saturday, September 12
1:30pm to 4pm
Large Conference Room
as we award the prizes and beat the heat in a more "common" way. After the awards, we'll be watching a movie that I know you'll all like! We'll have some popcorn and other snacks, and I may change it to an ice cream sundae thing if you all give me some feedback on that idea.
So you can be comfortable during the movie, I recommend bringing your own chair-in-a-bag rather than sitting on those horrid conference room chairs. OR, bring a pillow and lay out on the floor.
The movie will be appropriate for all ages. We're leaving the title to be a surprise, but if you were at Gadget Girl's for the LAST movie party, you'll know how much fun it was, and you can expect more of the same, but with great songs and dance sequences!
Please come to this event even if you didn't place a Beat the Heat cache! Everyone is welcome!
