Historical Ammanford is an interactive tour around the town of Ammanford introducing you to buildings and structures that are/were important to the town and hopefully filling you in on a little local history at the same time.
In order to participate, you will need to:
1. Have GPS equipment capable of running WHEREiGO
2. Have downloaded the appropriate cartrige from here
3. Have an hour or so of time on your hands to spend some time visiting some historic locations arround the town of Ammanford.
The activity is broken down into 3 distinct sections- and you don't need to do all at once providing you save the game and come back another day.
Section 1 & 2 can easily be done on foot from a central location. Section 3 can still be done on foot, but maybe you'd like to drive to some of the locations if you can as the locations are a little more spaced out for this activity.
I estimate that it's possible to complete in 2 hours if a car is employed to jump between locations in section 3.
WARNING: Once you've completed the cartridge, a saved completed cartridge should always display the geocache's coordinates on re-loading should you lose the coordinates the first time they were presented. However, on some third party players (including the iPhone) this doesn't happen - write down the coordinates as soon as they are presented otherwise you may well have to do part or all of the wehereigo again.
