While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

NO: Fjøsanger er trolig den eldste gården ved Nordåsvatnet, antagelig fra førkristen tid, men nevnes først i skriftlige kilder i 1563. Før 1809 omfattet også gården Gamlehaugen, Nyhaugen, Grønnestølen, Nygård og Kråkenes. Da var eiendommens areal på 6000 dekar. Nå er arealet 1720 dekar, hvorav ca 100 dekar er innmark, 900 dekar skog, og resten er naturområder. Fra 1844 til 1935 var eiendommene i Langefamiliens eie. Johan Caspar Lange (1845-1935) testamenterte Fjøsanger til to legater: Johan Langes Minde, og Johan Langes og Søskendes Legat. Langegården og Langeskogen, som eiendommene kalles på folkemunne, er siden 1935 forvaltet av legatene. Hovedbygningen ble oppført i 1810 og er i empirstil. Arkitekten var Paul Meyer Smit. I dga brukes bygningen til galleri og møte-og selskapslokaler. Gårsdriften er fortsatt i full drift med hovedvekt på husdyrhold. Årlig besøkes gården av ca 100 skoler og barnehager. All innmark og bygningene ble vernet i 1986.

EN:Fjøsanger is probably the oldest farm surrounding Nordåsvatnet. It is mentioned in written sources in 1563, but the farm is probably from pre-Christian times. The farm was an immensly 6000 decares, but today the farms area is 1720 deacres. The main building was buildt in 1810. The empire style building was drawn by the architect Paul Meyer Smit. From 1844 til 1935 the farm was the Lange familys property. Johan Caspar Lange (1845-1935) donated Fjøsanger to two trustfonds. Today the building is used as a gallery and conference room. The farm is still run with livestock. Every year about 100 schools and kindergardens visit the farm. The area and buildings were protected by law in 1986.
