Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the lovely Green Gables neighborhood in Central Phoenix. The neighborhood is filled with quaint small homes that are becoming more rare in the sprawling Phoenix Metro area. Like the Biltmore and Arcadia neighborhoods, these homes sit on what used to be citrus farms from the 1930’s and 1940’s. Most of these homes were built in the late 1940s. Many of these homes receive Flood Irrigation throughout the year. Residents flood their yards twice a month in the summer and once a month in the winter. It’s a site to see! Because of this, they are able to have lush green lawns and huge citrus trees.
This cache is located among these yards in a small public accessible irrigation “water gate”. Small cache which can contain trackables and log book. Pencil is also inside, but feel free to bring your own pen. Residents are aware of the cache, BUT PLEASE STILL USE STEALTH as many people walk dogs and ride bikes throughout the day and early evenings. Have fun and enjoy the trees! $5 for FTF.
PS: Please put things back the way you found it!!!!
