Posted cords will lead you to shelter #2 and a playground.
Plenty of room to rest, play and picnic after the long hike. Let
the kids run and have fun while in the park.
My formerly white running shoes
Now stained green, yellow, and brown
Have been passed down from child to child
And with each a new journey is found.
They went to soccer with my sister
And to field hockey as well
She loved her new white shoes
I did not find them that swell.
Then to my brother
He was also a big fan
He would jump flip and tumble in them
Then take them off and walk on his hands.
Finally I got the famous shoes
Who’s souls were now worn down
I would run and climb and play all day
And jump and scream and pound.
Yes we loved our hand-me-down-shoes
They brought great joy, and fun, and play
Only to then sit in our closets
And wait to see another day.
