Geocache Description:

The listed coordinates are for a possible parking area and the starting point for the calculations you need to do to find the cache. The walking is a bit rough but fairly level. It’s really a rather easy cache that is based on information to be found in Gore Cemetery. The cache is NOT in the cemetery or near a stone wall. It is available ONLY in daylight hours.

At waypoint 1: There are two ways you can calculate C Easy math way: How many years old was this French-Indian War veteran when he died? Divide his age by two so you get: A=
Then divide his age by 12 to get: B=
Add the two answers together to get a two digit number for C.
Alternatively if you know how to use your GPS or phone’s calculator: just divide his age by 1.71428571 to get the two whole numbers you need for C.
Now subtract C from the listed North coordinates to get the North coordinates for the final.
At waypoint 2: Carlton served in WW I. Only in the last decade or so have these veterans started to receive the credit they deserve for their service. Add up the number of letters in the two word name of the corps that this person served in. Divide that number by 4. Then add that answer to the listed West coordinates. The name of the corp E. Carleton served in can be found on the flag holder by her stone.
Now you have what you need to find the cache and the log book. N should sum to 14 and W should sum to 23 as a check. The container is a 1.2 liter lock and lock of about 7 x 7 x 2.5 inches with some camouflage tape on it. It is NOT in the burial area or near a stone wall.
